A basic introduction to the Old Literary Language through a tour of some of its most important works, from poems dating back to the Cambridge Codex (1382), to Glikl of Hamil's memoirs of the 17th – 18th centuries.

Students should be proficient in Yiddish and/or German and/or Hebrew — as Old Yiddish is located somewhere in between.
