Kabile' — Masters of traditional folk from Bulgarian Thrace
Kabile' takes their name from the village of the same name in central Bulgaria, where the band played one of their earliest gigs. They have since become widely known for their bitov (traditional) style and highly-enjoyable melodies. Kabilé's members are all life-long, professionally-trained musicians with decades of teaching and performing experience.
They will be performing some table music as well as some dance music, so bring your dancing shoes!
Kabile' is Donka Koleva (vocals), Nikolay Kolev (gadulka/ folk fiddle), Dzhenko Andreev (gajda/bagpipe), Nikolay Doktorov (kaval/ end-blown wooden flute), and Ivan Handzhiev (accordion and vocals)

Glas plays traditional songs from Macedonia, in their clearest form — one singer, one instrumentalist. It's an alternately lyrical and mournful music, filled with off kilter rhythms, microtonal scales, and a complex interplay of sweet harmonies and tense dissonance.
Glas is Corinna Škėma Snyder (vocals) and Vedran Boškovski (gajda, kaval, tambura).
