In honor of Nick Ogutu's website launch, All Souls Church's Peace and Justice Task Force, Dream Africa, New York Immigration Coalition (NYIC), Amnesty International (AI), Queer Detainee Empowrment Project (QDEP) and Saint Mary's Episcopal Church present to you: The Immigrants Telling Their Stories Seminar.
Immigrants Telling Their Stories is inaugural seminar aiming to create a platform to change the perceptions of immigrants and refugees in the United States and throughout the world. This platform aims to empower immigrants and refugees through the narration of their own tales.
This event will feature speakers from different leading non-profit organizations advocating for immigrants and refugees. Additionally, various cultures will be showcased throughout the event (through food, performances etc...)
At the occasion, Dream Africa and Nick Ogutu, content provider, will present their newly developped digital project empowering immigrants and refugees.
The event will take place on August 17, 2017 from 6pm to 9pm, and it's ABSOLUTELY FREE! We will also have live performances from refugees and musicians and international food!!!
