In the darkness of January, we come together to bask in the light of community, nourishment and joy. Queer Soup Night is back, and we're celebrating our 1 year anniversary with more soup, more space, and a brand new co-host.
The inspiring folks behind JaynesBeard, a lesbian and queer supper club, will co-host for the evening, and DJ JayeMarti is back to keep us moving all night.
100% of proceeds will be donated to the The Center for Anti-Violence Education, a Brooklyn-based org which provides self-defense, bystander training, and empowerment programs for adult and teen women (cis and trans), LGBQ and TGNC people, and other communities especially affected by violence.
We know it's getting crowded, so this month, we'll have the WHOLE venue. Soup will be served in the back room (with a brand new ordering system and lots more soup!!!), drinks served up front, and chilling in the side room.
No tix necessary. Suggested donation is $10-20 for soup/bread/snacks. Donations can be made that night via cash or credit card.
Fresh bread brought to you by our soul siblings at Hot Bread Kitchen and salty snacks provided by everyone's fave popcorn company, Pipcorn!
