Evigt Mörker

With his base in Sweden, and his sound undoubtedly afected by it’s dense forest landscapes,Evigt Mörker has managed to position himself in the Swedish music landscape as one to keep aneye on. Without loosing connection with the strong tradition of Swedish melancholy anddarkness, his compositions also celebrate the sensation of salvation. With the third EP out, the journey towards the end of the tunnel has just begun.

Soramimi:

Soramimi is a composer and producer based in NYC. A “soramimi” is defined as a mishearing or feigned deafness. She regards her music as narrative imagery, with a celestial sound illustrated by cerebral textures and dreamlike compositions. Soramimi brings a distinct fluency and gravity to the table of ambient and experimental techno.

Evident authorship and the mark of the artist's hand is very important to Soramimi, not just in her deeply personal sound design — shown by her characteristic affection for off-the-grid arrangements and organic musical movement — but literally in the signature tactility of Dusk Notes, the imprint she owns and runs with fellow New York producer Cory James. Dusk Notes, which showcases music of the spectral and the subconscious, features tangible music on vinyl, and Soramimi's own hand-painted album covers.

Influenced heavily by cinematic sound design and sound scoring, she hopes to evoke a powerful, visceral reaction in the listener, as if they were watching — or even living in — a gripping, electrifying film.

Her live set performances showcase her original compositions using outboard hardware synths and effects. Soramimi’s live PA intertwines throbbing ambient with immersive techno, teases out cathartic drone and noise, and creates alluring layers of intricate and evolving sonic abstraction.

Taylor Hawks:

Taylor Hawks was introduced to New York's underground electronic scene through the early Reconstrvct nights, and has since been drawn to bass and collective meditation on music within Brooklyn's more hidden venues. Now working working within the framework of ambient and techno music, his listeners can expect sets full of thick basslines, spaced-out grooves, and rich atmospheres, laced with his own productions as well.

With a string of appearances at Alkhemy's The Black Hole, a set at Exile Brooklyn, and 2 nights hosted at Bossa Nova Civic Club, 2017 has seen the beginning of a breakout with no signs of slowing down. Recently he has played with locals AMD, Craft, Pure Immanence, Spin-D, Alex Alben, and Xiorro and alongside out-of-town heavyweights like Plural, Allen, and Ayarcana. Complementing a surge of DJ sets, he has also performed guest mixes for Ethereal Beatbox, TechnoFist, and Exile. Expect bigger things coming in 2018.
