Rise for Rohingya is a campaign committed to helping the Rohingya refugees in Bangladesh by spreading awareness of their plight and raising funds intended for childhood education and medical care in the refugee camps.

The event will begin with a panel discussion moderated by Faiza Patel between world-renowned philosopher Anthony Appiah, Imam Latif, Rabbi Sarna, and Chief Medical Officer & Vice-Dean Doctor Olugbenga Ogedegde. The event will close with remarks by NYU President Emertis John Sexton about the importance of a higher education institution to focus on global crisis.

Admission is free. However, we suggest that you make a small donation to Jaago’s Safe Heaven for Rohingya children or Doctor without Border’s healthcare initiatives for Rohingya refugees. All donations are tax-deductible and will be matched up to $20,000 by the Catalyst foundation. Donations can be made here.

** There will be refreshments and opportunity to network prior to the start of the event
