We're changing venues, kids! We're moving down the street to DROM
, which is located on Ave A between 5th & 6th, in the EV. If you haven't been, Drom is a great locale with lots of space to dance and a very loud sound system. More details TBA soon!
For over 5 years — but 12, really, if you've been with them since the Nacotheque days — Rico Suave (Marcelo C.) and D'marquesina (Hector Arce) have been filling up various dancefloors in New York City by playing the best — «and worst,» they say — «cumbiaton, nutropial, perreopop, merenguetrap, rockitsch,» and other mashups of Latino music. No artists or band is too obscure, no era is too old, but Spanish-sung music, from popular wedding standards to brand-new club bangers, is always front and center.
Their eclectic, highly-inclusive parties — get ready to find yourself dancing next to colorful hipsters, bankers, delivery boys, models, and everything in between — offer a friendly ambiance, where the crowd is mostly looking to dance the night away.
The party takes place on the first Saturday of every month, unless otherwise noted. Drom, the bar where RSvsD is currently being hosted, offers a great selection of drinks, including $8 Cuba Libres and $5 Budlights.
Doors open at 10:30pm. FREE before 11pm with RSVP, $10 after. 21+ W/ID. Party goes on until 4AM and it tends to pack out, so buying pre-sale tickets is highly-encouraged.
DROM: 85 Avenue A (Between 5th & 6th), East Village, Manhattan, NYC.
