Join us for a community opening of our new art exhibit, 'From Africa to Weeksville', that will grace Weeksville Heritage Center’s gallery beginning Thursday, July 12.
On display will be selected artifacts that are part of The Cultural Museum of African Art, an experience created by collector Eric Edwards, who has amassed one of the largest African art collections in the United States. Edwards’ 40-year journey has led to a collection of over 1,600 artifacts—some of which date back to over four thousand years. Weeksville Heritage Center is thrilled and honored to showcase a number of these artifacts, which barely scratch the surface of Edwards’ vast collection.
Enjoy an evening celebrating African artisanship with the people of Weeksville as its heir.
